(MM) IT WAS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY’S BIGGEST NIGHT — THE GRAMMY AWARDS! YOU SAW THE GRAMMYS—- RIGHT HERE ON WPRI-12 — SOME OF THE BIGGEST NAMES IN THE MUSIC WORLD —-WERE IN L-A FOR THE SHOW. (HE) AMONG THOSE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE STAPLES CENTER TONIGHT — A COUPLE OF RHODE ISLAND NATIVES. EYEWITNESS NEWS REPORTER KAIT WALSH JOINS US NOW LIVE IN STUDIO WITH MORE….KAIT… (KW) WE FOUND AT LEAST TWO RHODE ISLANDERS WHO WERE AT THE GRAMMYS TONIGHT. ONE – WAS NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY HIMSELF. THE OTHER – RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATE MARGEAUX SIPPELL – WHO SCORED TICKETS THROUGH HER INTERNSHIP! I CAUGHT UP WITH HER VIA SKYPE AHEAD OF THE NIGHT. THE SIGHTS. THE SOUNDS. THE GRAMMYS: MUSIC’S BIGGEST NIGHT. AND WHO BETTER TO APPRECIATE IT ALL THAN PORTSMOUTH RHODE ISLAND NATIVE – MARGEAUX SIPPELL – A SINGER AND MUSICIAN HERSELF. NATS. “I CAN’T IMAGINE ALL OF THOSE FAMOUS PEOPLE IN ONE SPOT. IT’S GOING TO BE CRAZY.” WE SPOKE WITH MARGEAUX – AS SHE WAS PREPARING FOR THE NIGHT – SHE GOT TICKETS THROUGH HER INTERNSHIP WITH A POPULAR MAGAZINE. “IT’S NICE TO JUST SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE SHOW AND NOT HAVE TO DO THE RED CARPET SO I HAVE A DRESS PICKED OUT. THEY’RE LETTING ME BRING MY BOYFRIEND TOO SO WE’RE BOTH GOING.” MARGEAUX SENT US THIS PHOTO OF THE TWO OF THEM – AT THE GRAMMYS. HER APPRECIATION FOR MUSIC – IS IN HER BONES: MARGEAUX’S FATHER – JOHN SIPPELL IS AN ACCOMPLISHED PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN AND WAS EXCITED HIS DAUGHTER COULD BE THERE. “I THINK THE GRAMMYS AS A CONCEPT IS JUST WILD. I JUST NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD EVER GO TO THEM, SO THEY WERE LIKE, ‘OH MY GOSH. SO COOL.'” IF THAT’S NOT COOL ENOUGH ALREADY – SHE’S ACTUALLY FAMILY FRIENDS WITH RHODE ISLAND NATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL TRUMPETER DOUG WOOLVERTON – WHO WAS NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY AS PART OF THE BAND VICTOR WAINWRIGHT AND THE TRAIN. “I’VE KNOWN HIM FOR FOREVER.
