Stan had suffered a mild stroke . He wanted to be remembered as he was.
Stan was humble. He now lives with father. He is still with us today.
Danny the Lanky
Too little too late.
I wanted to see him not Danny Kaye
2 first names =jew
LAUREL WAS THE BRAINS IN HIS DUO WITH HARDY
I am still laughing 60 yrs later,my favorite is the haunted, house I laughed so much,I thought I had broke a rib,but these 2 funny guys, why so long for an Oscar
that was Danny Kay …Bob Hope gave a Oscar to.
"..another nice mess you got me out of."
loved them both
Pass on what they taught, save you it will, spread the joy of life just as per their example
Genius with his partner
Wow!! What a beautiful, classic moment? Truly remarkable. Danny Kaye was a class act. Bob Hope was a national institution and The Forever Host of the Oscars. Stan Laurel was a funny funny man. An iconoclast. He was truly deserving of this and any honor he ever received.
I was expecting Stan.
2019. … Oscar today … Trash spewing, virtue signaling, over hyped, semi naked, vulgarity laden, left wing , liberal nincompoop's mass orgy .. 🤬🤬🤬👎👎👎
When Oliver hardy died Stan laurel didn't want to appear in public anymore.
A small correction. Stan and Ollie/Babe first appeared on screen together in 1921.
MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS IS A STAPLE IN MY LIFE SINCE I'M 7 YEARS OLD. (AT THANKSGIVING) THE BOYS HAVE CARRIED ME 50 YEARS AND COUNTING.GODSPEED GENTLEMAN. HEAVEN MUST BE LAUGHING THROUGH ETERNITY!!!
Is it true what people are saying about Senator Lindsey Graham? I mean I don't really care who he is bedding down with. None of my business as long as the guy isn't underage. I understand the folks in the south tend to marry their close relatives and love to have sex with wilded animals.
If there was never such a thing as writers Bob Hope would have never told a joke.
Ah shucks, tuned in to see Stan. Love Laurel and Hardy.
Giving Oscar is nonsense after retirement or death. They deserved to receive Oscar in right time, not after death or in sickness bed.
Geez, Kaye was light in the loafers.
Stan regretted that "Babe" could not be there to share the award. They didn't become close friends until their careers we're at an end.
Real Oscar, real Hollywood, real talent.
Hollywood back then was honorable. Today's Hollyweird is utter shit.
What a crock of shit. They waited till it was too late for it to matter. What a fucking disgrace. Best funny men..EVER.
Screw the Academy Awards!
It's a shame they got Danny Kaye to accept the award.
That's not fucking Stan Laurel !
A great double act but Stan Laurel wrote all their material so deserves the slightly more level of credit.
A Gemini that was on Sgt Pepper. Lots of them. Paul was a Gemini. June 14, 1942.
Werry nice oscar!!!
Louis De Funes is a god !
and they always will be , the best Laurel and Hardy
You dope! Stan Laurel is not even in this video! You mislead all of us! You're not a dope! YOU'RE A DICK!
Some may not know this, but Stan Laurel consulted for Jerry Lewis on Jerry's film "The Bellboy", which contained a bit where one of Jerry's associates did a short cameo impersonating Stanley. The reason that an impersonator was used for the scene was because no matter how much Jerry pleaded with Stan to do the cameo, Stan politely but adamantly refused. Stan's reason ? Because he wouldn't reprise the role without Oliver Hardy, or "Babe" as Stanley called him, being present as well. Now that's a class act.
Well deserved. But, as the guy's comments below me says, a little late. And too late for the great Oliver Hardy
I hope Stan refused it, it was a snub to Oliver hardy, and a snub to the pair of them. They deserved much better for giving years of laughter to the world as the best comedy duo that ever lived. They should have been recognised long before this.
Laurel et Hardy ont toujours étés les meilleurs !!!!
This amazing Stan Laura desevers it. And Danni Kay was incredible in acting and making us laugh with Ben crosbie one of the greatest and the other guy I can't rember his name.😊😊😊💙✌
He was so great May he be in Heaven.
