Mindless Behavior Interview Grammy Awards 2011 – GRAMMYs Guided by TurboTax

Hey I’m Shira Lazar backstage at the Grammys brought
to you by Turbo Tax with Mindless Behavior, the cutest thirteen and fourteen year olds ever. I mean, you are the youngest musicians I
am interviewing here today. Oh wow. Is that an honor? Yes it is. That means you’re starting early. Yeah we are the youngest. I’m looking around and yeah we are. You’re like the mini of the people I interview. You have everything smaller and cuter, like your bling even. Aw, thank you so much. You are too. Yeah I like how you’ve got the all black. Awe
look at you already liking the ladies. So tell me how you guys got together. It was an audition? Yes. You guys all auditioned in LA. But yeah, we auditioned two years ago and the head of
our production company at Conjunction Productions, Walter Milsap, he brought the idea to Vincent Herbert at Interscope, who manages Lady Gaga and Mashan. Look at that. Yeah. So Walter teamed up
with part of our management team, Tisha Gamble, and yeah they had a huge audition with like 600 kids. Wow and you guys made it. Yeah we made it. So are these the younger ones? I feel like
you’re the older ones and you’re the younger. No actually we’re the two youngest ones.. It kind of goes in order right now. He’s the oldest, 2nd oldest, 3rd and 4th. He’s the baby. I hope you stay grounded, I know you’ve been opening up for bands like Backstreet Boys and Justin Bieber. Yeah. Pretty cool. Yeah. So what is it like opening for Bieber, who’s
the biggest thing on earth right now? Amazing, he has so many fans. He’s really humble. He gives us great advice He’s a really nice guy. So what advice did he give you? Don’t
get nervous, which made us more nervous. [laughter] He said just stay humble and when you go on stage the girls are going
to love you. Just rock it out. [laughter] It’s all about the girls. Yeah it is all about those girls. So what is your music all about? How would
you describe it to people? Our music is ambient pop and our album, “Number One Girl”, is coming out really soon, early summer. Cause we’re
lookin’ for our number one girl. Most of our songs talk about girls. It’s just all about the girls. But you guys are talkin’ about girls at such a young age. Yeah well. [laughter] I’ve noticed that, yeah. Puppy love It’s puppy love, innocent love. So, finally do you have a
person that’s guided you in your careers? Your short careers. One person you would say? Like that we know? Yeah or somebody like a musical mentor, friends of yours, anyone that gives you expert advice. I would have to say our team our Conjunction family. Yeah Walter Milsap, Tisha Gamble our team. It really helps me. They push me to do better. Can you do a little song for me? Yeah. Now just one line. One final line together. One, Two, Three. My Girl, My Girl, She Loves Me. Six, seven, eight, my girl, my girl she loves me. Their serenading me. [laughter] Oh thanks, that was it. That was great, you guys are great. I’m so excited to see you grow
and hopefully I’ll continue interviewing you as you get older. Yes, thank you. And stay humble. Yes most definitely Thank you, Mindless Behavior. Sponsored by Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax guides you step by step to the maximum refund you deserve.
