Wow, pushing 80 here and looking like a sping day
78 years young!
What a wonderful person she was. Everyone who hasn't seen "Night of the Hunter," which she is in, just has to see it. I worked with someone who met her, and he told me she was just a delight.
📃🧚♀️Respect and honour for a great woman who contributed made masterpieces pictures and contributed change old woman's role with her work . Everybody can see her biography to watch the list of her movies. No one could be able to ruin your memory💖 That's sure❗🏆✨
I WROTE LILIAN A LETTER ONE DAY AND SENT IT TO HER CALIFORNIA HOME AND THOUGHT THAT SHE WOUOLD NEVER RESOPOND. WELL ONE HOT NYC DAY I WAS MINDING MY BUSINESS PLANTING FLOWERS AND WHO SHOWS UP AT MY DOOR??? LILIAN!!!!! I HAD WRITTEN MY ADDRESS FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER AT THE END OF THE LETTER, LITTLE DID I KNOW LILIAN WAS IN TOWN FOR A REMAKE OF "ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" SHE WAS TO PLAY THE MOTHER. SHE HUMBLY ASKED IF I HAD ROOM FOR HER TO SLEEP IN HER HOTEL HAD HAD A MIX UP….NOT ONLY DID LILIAN SLEEP IN MY HOME SHE SLEPT IN MY BED. I SLEPT IN THE COUCH THE NIGHT….LILIAN IS A REAL TROOPER…..I STROKED HER HAIR GENTLY AS SHE SLEPT AND STOOD OVER HER WITH MY LILIAN GISH POSTER AND I REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT GIVING HER A SMALL KISS….WELL JUST AS I WAS LEAVING LILIAN PULLED AT MY ROBE GRABBED ME AND GAVE ME THE MOST PASSIONATE MOST SINCERE MOST BEAUTIFUL KISS…..WELL RIGHT THEN AND THERE I WAS PUTTY IN HER ARMS….A WOMAN LIKE ME WITH A WOMEN LIKE LILIAN WHO WAS 40 YEARS MY SENIOR….THERE IS NO SHAME TO SAY I WAS A CASUALTY TO LILIAN'S BEAUTY…AS I PULLED HER SLIP OVER HER AND WE MADE PASSIONATE LOVE. LILIAN HAD BEEN GARBO'S BUT FOR THAT NIGHT SHE WAS MINE. OH LILIAN WILL YOU EVER FORGIVE ME FOR THOSE THINGS I MADE YOU DO?
They gave her so much more respect than Mary Pickford. It's sad, because though Lillian had a longer career, Mary did so much for a woman of her time. For anybody, male or female.
Her and Mary Pickford – Prime Icons of the movies.
🎥Thank you Lillian 🌹🙏❤️🎭
No booze, sugar or white flour. A positive attitude and a delight in work. Take a good look.
And now, like Kate Smith, she and her sister (by virtue of simply being her sister) have been trashed by the "educators" at Bowling Green State. This is an epidemic of idiocy!
The way they do the special Oscars now, we'd have seen but not heard a 5 second clip of her accepting the award in a separate, non-televised dinner.
Such class no longer exists…………..
Eternal rest grant unto her oh Lord , and let perpetual light shine upon her may she rest in peace . Amen
God, did Douglas ever flub that intro.

As a Brit I love how she spoke, a lot less nasal than American actors today.
…"all the charming ghosts I feel around me…"
She is beautiful woman ever seen
She was a loving actress and an influential screen girl!
