LeBron James the fucking GOAT ty a all time great said it💯💯💯 everyone one else just like to ride JORDONS nuts because of his sneakers 😂
"Captain Black Earving Magic Johnson" LMAO
What's funny about Bird is he really does look just like a bird.
"Greatest coach that ever lived, Pat Riley!" Sounds right Magic!
Magic show time
This is what the DRAFT is all about > allowing the cycle of players to EVOLVE from one ERA to the next .. "respect the process"
Players in nowadays are heavier, stronger, running more miles per game, and more accurate at FT and 3P. Proportion of 0-3 and 3-10 feet shooting have not been changed much. But in 18-19 season they made FT/FGA 0.198 while in 90-91 season 0.245.Even 90s was an easier era to get FT. Who's more tough?
0:35 Kareem salty though
Bird was better than Magic, LeBron and Durant. Shooting scoring, rebounding especially, defense, you name it.
These 2 still had a score to settle. They ended up playing a one on one pickup game after the award show has ended. Who was really the better player in the 80s?
Without a doubt 2 top 5 players and two great guys
My father's favorite two players 👍
Did Bird’s AIDS joke in the beginning go over everybody’s head or something? Ruthless 😂😂
Sam Jackson is 6'3 and magic / bird make him look like Webster and Gary Coleman!!
Where is Kareem's award?
So Bird forgot about Danny Ainge?
Omg its bird and johnson 2 nba legends
People may not realize that the over all consensus of players who played against Larry or Magic, that Bird was the more fearsome player. Bird just doesn't look very good and even for a white guy he wasn't particularly fast.
Two amazing ballers and even more classy guys!
MJ will always be the GOAT
AND THE 2020 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD GOES TO: LISA LESLIE
No matter how many legendary or elite players are there, these two magic and Larry including Kareem are exceptional.
its been a long time, this my first time i heard larry bird talk 🏀😎👍
Imagine Larry Bird (best shooter) and Magic Johnson (best passer) teamed up to form a “Super team” back then? 👍👍👍👍
Next it’s finna be me and AD mark my words
Inspiring speeches by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Have to YouTube their career highlights now! 👍👍👍👍
This was the deadest crowd in the history of award shows
Thanks to these 2 the NBA is what it is today.
There's no way magic is 6'9 while larry is 6'8. Larry's taller than magic. Magic def 6'7 while larry 6'9
Two walking legends of the sport🙏🏼❤️
one of the greatest rivalry in the nba
Magis is build like a fucking tank. He reminds me of Shannon Sharpe.
Greatest rivalry in sports. Awesome memories. Well deserved recognition
Is it just me or does Kareem's resting face look angry?
I just wanna watch Larry shoot around for half an hour while hes still here.
A pair of GOATS!
Magic/Bird: Rivals, Competitors, Friends 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
BIRD "Hold my trophy" LARRY
Was that an aids joke?? Savage. Lol
In the 1970s, the game of basketball was struggling. The NBA and ABA were 2 separate organizations jockeying for dominance. Attendance was way down, so they decided to merge the NBA and ABA.
In 1979 2 young rookies who competed in college were now the face of the NBA. Between the 2, they would win 8 of the 10 titles in the 1980s. Magic in 80, 82, 85, 87, and 88. Bird in 81, 84, and 86.
They took an entire league on their shoulders and took the NBA to new heights. They were exactly the stars the NBA needed to succeed. They were polar opposites who had only the will to win in common.
Both had styles that matched the cities they played for. Magic and LA were about SHOWTIME, a fast paced flashy exciting style that brought the movie stars to the Forum. Bird and the Celtics were just like Boston, hard working blue collar hard nosed players who weren't afraid to get physical.
BUT these 2 brought out the best in one another. I'm just happy I got to watch these guys in their primes. These 2 guys ARE THE NBA…
