  • The funny thing is even if they were to miraculously take down the film from movie theaters shootings and violence will still happen so what exactly are you guys wasting your time with going against the film???

  • Not showing the film at the Colorado theatre is understandable but that’s it film is art we can’t stop art from expressing itself

  • Did these people watched the Joker? Italy saw it and us America are waiting to watch in October. I heard nothing about mass shooting in Italy cause by the movie.

  • Somehow out of all violent movies depicting psychotic killers Joker which hasn't even come out yet is prime suspect for Mass shooting influence. Wow

  • Art: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
No where in the description did i read anything about depravity being explained or slightly glorified. Just because it id rated R doesn't mean everyone or anyone should see it. Art is supposed to make you think. Batman and Joker have very dark, perverse and violent story lines. That cannot be easily dismissed. The couple is urging people to acknowledge that influence on society and their cries are falling on ears that only hear the clanking of coins.

  • That's great, censor even more because it offends us. The Joker is a comic book character. You don't have to go watch it, and besides, people with PTSD avoid loud noises and certain sounds that might trigger panic or a debilitating after-effect of putting themselves in a particular situation. They're not typically violent, and it's kind of ignorant to think so.

  • The US will ban anything and everything before it institutes any reasonable degree of gun control — ban movies, ban vaping, censor this censor that—but God forbid we have better background checks to make sure guns don’t end up in the hands of psychopaths!

  • The movie industry doesn’t care about us. They know what they’re doing. That’s why you rarely see movies about happy healthy families and people that doesn’t include murder, fear, hate, prejudice adultery, etc. The whole clown and joker symbolism is satanic in nature. 🙄

  • Dark Films doesn't cause violent, but people who have mental illness that doesn't know right or wrong of their violence action.

  • I’m sorry for your loses but stop looking for reasons to get people worried to go to the movies cause hiding in fear makes them win 😡so 🖕 them & enjoy your lives 😎

  • Sandy and Loni need to take several seats and go cry at their house.🙄🤡 first of all why would anyone with PTSD go watch the film and second it isn’t anyone’s fault that people suffer from PTSD, so let the rest of the world live their lives and enjoy watching and doing whatever they want!

  • Its only a movie but I can't help thinking somewhere, somehow someone will be triggered by it,,but the person earlier has it right Halloween must have mask!

  • the joker is literally doing in real life, what he does in the Comics/Movies… Talk about life imitating Art…. A fictional character causes panic… Clown World, for sure…

  • I can't help but have some major deja vu feelings about this whole SJW debacle. Remember the Satanic Panic of the 1980s? A time when crazy religious nuts believed that everything from Star Wars to Masters of the Universe to Dungeons and Dragons to rock music to Care Bears were pure evil that "corrupted the minds of our youth" despite the fact that these things were nothing more than fun, harmless entertainment made without any negative intentions. Nowadays however instead of everything being Satanic, everything is racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist or too violent.

  • This is sad reading the comments about these parents who lost a family member in that shooting back at aurora. Stop bashing these parents. How would you feel if your family was gunned down? Leave these people to their opinions about their feelings.

  • It’s tragic what happened to the people in the Aurora mass shooting but are we going to ban all movies? Yes, people who have PTSD from mass shootings should avoid this movie. I feel for these people, I really do but there are so many movies that trigger PTSD for so many other people. I myself suffer with PTSD I avoid things that I know will trigger it. We all have our scars but banning everything won’t fix anything.

  • New York post said the army is setting warnings to people going to the theaters to watch this, that there might be shootings from. Incels. I'm still going

  • so there are people in the world with mental illness, so we cant have an more films because it might cause violence. we might as well just give up and have no entertainment or fun anymore.

  • With all due respect to those that have lost a love one in mass shootings, but this isn't the only film where people get killed. Like it has absolutely nothing to do with any past shootings and if some people find it offensive then don't watch it. Nobody is being forced to watch anything. So if I may say bring it on Joker 🃏 !! Can't wait to see it.

  • We are Gotham City except with No Batman,,, Joker holds a broken mirror to today's society & raises awareness to problems we face today but do not want o address,, I think that's why it's controversial

  • Whatever the case, we shouldn't censor or ignore these warnings entirely. This families suffered so much, and it's on us to to take responsibility of our actions and that consequences that follows. This is up for debate.

  • For some reasons, I'm more excited for this movie than I was for Endgame. It felt overrated and I believe it's Disney once again attacking WB for a movie they release every time.

  • Jeez, it’s a movie guys, any sane person doesn’t watch something fictional from comics and take it into real life, let’s just ban every film depicting violence because we can’t tell
the difference? it’s R rated for a reason

  • Here's the deal. The R-Rating exists to let you know that this is a mature movie for mature adults. If you are an adult or some edgy teen that can not handle an R Rating because you're already thinking irrationally, then don't go see the movie! It's common sense, and more than half of the population has already lost it. Such a shame.

  • only in america such stupidity. where were these morons when Taxi Driver opened or so many other movies like this. This is truly insane.

  • Cmon y’all really? They’re scared this movie is gonna hype someone up to become the next guy who claims to be Joker and shoot up a theater. Simple answer: It’s not. Yes this movie IS about Joker and yes IT DOES have a lot of violence in it but it needs to because that violence is pertaining to the anarchistic character that is The Joker. Plus the movie is rated R for a reason of course it’s gonna have violence in it duh. But it DOESNT glorify it,, from the reviews I’ve read from ppl who’ve actually seen it, this movie is simply a psychological character study into the dark corner of a mans mind and how REPEATED ABUSE FROM THE PPL OF SOCIETY AND HIS OWN MENTAL ILLNESS can cause a normal everyday person to become as chaotic and twisted as The Joker. So while I am sympathetic to those families who lost ppl in that shooting this “fear of inciting violence” is simply not a valid reason to boycott or cancel the showing of a movie except for the one where the incident occurred.

  • You know a lot of people with PTSD are veteran's; yet on most American holidays people go all out with the fireworks and what not which imitates the sound of being in battle and while some people think it's great there are also a lot of people who think otherwise and it can take them back to a traumatic place.. but people still do it and continue for days for each holiday.. but you don't see vets doing this.. it's unfortunately a part of life to try our best to cope with life as it goes on.. i think they are misplacing their pain…
    ❤🙏

  • Oh whatever. I’m sick of sensitive people or just people looking for something to be offended or affected by. Screw PC culture. More stuff for Dave Chapelle to roast. There’s a difference between reality and fantasy and if you can’t tell, you’re the problem not the movie. This movie being censored to death wont stop gun violence and crazy people you’re hilarious if you think it will. People need to grow up and stop being little Disney princesses. Buy a gun to protect yourself from crazies.

  • This movie will inspire thousands of people !! ..to go back to school and start getting straight As and chase their dream careers ! Mine's Film Maker because i want to make a beautiful masterpiece movie like i know this one will be ! Ha!

  • The people who do those campaigns against Joker should focus more on their lives. Besides, it's just a movie to entertain us, not to brainwash us.

  • what i'm worried about is the further marginalization of mentally/emotionally ill, that are actively seeking help. the sort of attention this movie is drawing from all sides is not helpful.

  • Grow a backbone and stop blaming movies for unfortunate circumstances. Yes, we are sorry for your loss, but stop making a racket in order to be relevant. "Oh but my child died at this barely related event over 6 years ago! I want this million dollar movie to listen to what I have to say!"

  • many studies have shown that seeing violence in video games or TV isn't responsible for any violence in real life. and the movie has warnings so people know if they can't watch the movie due to their mental or physical health.

I don't see the issue… unless the movie ends up portraying mass shooters in a positive light there is no need to take it down (and even then…)

  • I have ptsd from combat, specifically explosives.. I don't go knocking on my neighbors doors demanding they don't use fireworks. My ptsd is my problem not the world's. I go to a county that has a ban on fireworks and get a hotel for the night. The problem with today is people make their problems the world's burden…

  • They just made a ted bundy movie what’s the difference why no outrage over that movie but the joker gets all the hate 🤦🏾‍♂️

  • If you let that shooter change your behavior to where it controls what you do and institute censorship of everyone else you let him win and keep him in the spotlight.

  • My heart goes out to the family for their loss, but no one has seen the film so how do you know it tells people to shoot up a theater.

  • An official army memo has been released regarding a credible mass shooting threat. They haven't identified yet where. That's left to chance. I'm sure they're on it.
I don't visit the theaters very often.
This makes me want to go.
Matter of fact, I think I will go.
I hope to engage any fuckwit that decides to do such a thing.
    I'll be ready.

  • This movie is the reason why I have decided to stop going to the movies. Not because of what it is about, but what may happen at the theater.
