How To Become A K-Pop Idol: Life As A Foreign Trainee

Respira! (Gritando) Manten tu posición Hey Ni si quiera te estoy empujando. Cuantas veces te lo he dicho? ¡Oh Dios! Realmente perdí mucho (peso)! Parece que has perdido mucho Ni siquiera podía beber agua. De verdad Yo tengo 50 kilogramos Oh enserio!?

  • Remember peeps, it can get worst after they debut, they can earn next to nothing to live on due to money going to their agencies and what not.

  • Omgggg they should atleast be nice to them n give some motivation words -_-. Saying rude things n forcing a spilt only make them want to give up n feel even more down. I dont like tht Hyejin n Mizuho is so talented ๐Ÿ’œ owo

  • I cry thinking that all big groups now had to suffer through that and that it still continues, so many of my favourite idols are scarred from their trainee days and they all lived below poverty level just to follow their dreams. IT BREAKS MY HEART.

  • I am her age and also wanna give it a try for a year…i Think i could maybe make it. I mean of course its tough and i would probably be mentally even more unstable than her and my voice isnt the best yet…but i definitely got what the judge said is missing "emotion". You cant reallytraun emotion but you can train technique and all. If the universe would give me just one year, only focusing on being a trainee, im pretty sure I'd succeed (of course with a lot of crying and complaining and doubting involved ๐Ÿ˜‚)

  • I just want to punch the trainer ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I wish I had all the money so I can make mi onw company's and tell theme there's still good people make theme eat good and sleep good Korea is beautiful but huh

  • this is actually fucking disgusting and sad, they didn't let her debut after all that hard work, she did a really good job

  • korea rlly has no sense of healthy weight. youโ€™re supposed to weigh a specific weight based on height. if youโ€™re 5โ€™6 and like 95 pounds thatโ€™s extremely unhealthy. i mean say what you want about america but at least famous singers here have a little more freedom jesus christ…

  • omfg. they should be treated in a right way. well that's the way of making people better, treat them like that. BE BETTER GUYS AND PROVE THEM WRONG. HWAITING!

  • Kpop fan: I really love kpop I want to a kpop star.
After watching the vid of what we are watching
Kpop fan: ….. you know I want be pop star instead

  • You all do realize not eating much food for a weigh in, is a common practice among people doing MMA, Boxing, Muay tai, Judo and jujitsu and more. So it's not just in training to be a star. We have to do something about this because it is such common practice. Weigh ins are an Athletes worst nightmare, depending on the sport. Like my Brother was trying and did loose a ton of weight before a weigh in but he looked sick and our mom was worried because a girl in our area just died because she worked herself too hard. And my brother is only 14 now. So it can happen to anyone and gended in a sport that does weigh ins.

  • Why would this come up in my suggestions right when bighit is holding a global audition?!? I mean i don't want to become a kpop star for sure but i think this will affect people who want to, apparently this has been done on purpose ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” the 1st 50 seconds are literally enough for giving up all your dreams ๐Ÿ˜‘ ofc it's hard like you're trying to become a popular artist for crying out load

  • If you want to be an idol then you just have to overcome this. But I can only feel the negativity of the people. Everyone works hard in their own way and sometimes the hard work doesnโ€™t pay of. But when it does, do they get a big compliment or give them to each other? If really want to do this job then I think that there HAS to be someone who can light up the room and make everything more positive! Giving compliments and stuff.๐Ÿ™‚

  • I just want to say that in the beginning where they are learning how to do the split… like THAT! That is honestly the most painful and hardest and easiest way to fuck up your joint. These trainees are going to have joint problems by the time they debut. Fuck the trainers. They donโ€™t fucking know what they are doing.

  • No need to be overly dramatic bitch. After all, you want that lol and you know clearly that you need to follow their super high standards like having plastic faces and bodies to be an idol ๐Ÿ™„ what a bitch.

  • If I am the owner of a KPOP company i would make them practice for 8 hours M W F Sunday and the remaining days is for optional

  • oh my god. I've been seeing this on my recommendations for months and I decided to watch it just now. and right now, I feel terribly sorry for the girl. maybe it's really true that just because you're good looking and talented, you're gonne be famous, well no. you really need hardwork and determination to achieve your dreams. I know that it's a bit irrelevant but I just want to say how proud I am to BTS for not giving up and I'm also thankful because they're on good hands. hoping that the girl is very happy because she deserves it ๐Ÿ’–

  • i was i big fan of k pop in past now i am not cuz i realize they harts them self to become so perfect and skinny and thats. wrong that not good idol at all ๐Ÿ˜• think agin korea

  • I donโ€™t want to be a Kpop idol anymore I feel so bad if I was a ceo Iโ€™d feed them take care show them love act like Iโ€™m there family

  • Its so shit damn this company…i hate it…….all the coach and stuff is very SHIT….this company should go away from this life mehhj

  • It's so sad that Kenta probably had to go through all of this too ๐Ÿ™ I hope that Sanggyun and Kenta are getting threated a bit better now qwq But seeing how much weight they lost for this comeback makes me sad, I hope they can change to a better company someday <3

  • I would stan Mizuho if she debuted I love her looks ,dancing and everything ๐Ÿ’•I hate the ceo IM FIGHTING FOR YOU โœŠ๐Ÿป

  • No wonder these girls do not debut or do good. The company sucks at making them improve. The company should at least take a basic psychology class and excel at how to help people grow and improve.

  • Wow so I guess If I showed up there they would call me fat ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • This made me cry. The standards they put on these girls. Also, Iโ€™m a lot younger than them and I am over the weight limit so yeah.

  • Huhu i weigh 43kg so the weigh in wouldnt be a problem for me, dont worry i dont starve myself, im just skinny and short

  • What the hell is wrong with this company and those girls I swear to god she is clearly in so much pain to the point of screaming and crying that's enough stop it. I understand wanting them to stay skinny but if shouldn't go as far as being underweight and them pushing themselves to work when they are sick I know that you want to get better but you have to have a break or else you'll have no energy to do anything. There is a point to where you need to stop and focus on your health first.

  • I hate the fact when they're being judged instead of saying some words nicely they say it in a rude tone, the way that they train these trainees is something for me that's not worth it. I hope the kpop industry will train them the proper way and not turning them into slaves.

  • I want to point out that I am glad, thrilled even, that in Super Junior (I am not too much of a follower so dont get mad, but I dont know his name) they have a "large" man. I am sad that they seem to put him in the background and sides more, and don't give him many individual scenes in music videos but at the very least, it is HIGHLY progressive of Korea to debut a group with an idol, and the idol himself, who doesn't have to fit the mold of "weigh under this amount" or "be under this size". With that said, BTS has blown up the scene (and rightly so, I love their content, music, lyrics, choreography, etc.), but let's not forget to focus on and stan every smaller or lesser known kpop group and the newly formed ones, so their dreams can be reality some day. Especially when they go through this much suffering to make it on stage in front of people. Though personally after this video, I dont think I want to support any group that debuts through Star Road, not because of the idols, but to not support Star Road, therefore forcing them to close their doors and the idols can seek more humane agencies to debut through. If BTS had to endure this kind of stuff, then let me say this- they absolutely deserve the recognition they have now. Sadly I think most agencies are like this, with high standards, and it makes sense in a way, the best of the best get watched by audiences, but I wish idols would also receive a bit more support and encouragement. They get enough hate from haters already, their agencies and the groups they train with should all have their backs and want them to feel good and succeed (without getting a big head either.) There is a difference between pushing them to really push themselves and just downright mental abuse. And I think Star Road crossed the line into mental abuse.

  • Im literally 13 and I'm like 41 Kg
They're literally in their 20's and at 40-50kg thats scary
    Or i'm overweight idk -,-
    but this needs to change.
The industry focuses on their bodies wayy to much!

  • It's just so sad how the girls were happy to see how much pounds they've lost. I mean 50 kg or less is so unhealthy especially for their age. And yeah I know, they have to look "good" In front of the audience or else they will be judged.

  • "Even if I'm sick I never thought of skipping"

And here i am with a gastric, fever, diarrhea and shit still cant go to uni and I dont even have to move my body

  • I felt hurt seeing her and the other girls look upset at the end. I wanted to be a kpop star since I was 15 but Iโ€™m not Korean. I doubt Iโ€™d even have a shot at training. Plus I wouldnโ€™t last an hour of what they went through ๐Ÿ’”

  • It is sad as hell. Say whatever you want about Asians being naturally short and thin, but under 50 kg is not enough AT ALL. Jesus, I'm a tad pudgy but otherwise muscular, and I weigh 70 kg AT 6'3".
